OpenOffice and Language

Okay, so I’ve set OpenOffice to use English (UK) as the default language. Why does it still assume ‘colour’ is in error, though?
Apparently, even though it’s trying to think of my words as English (UK), it still thinks of my paragraphs as English (US).

I do understand that there may be a need for paragraphs defined as specific languages – mixed-language documents, such as those cheaply-printed folding instruction sheets you still find packaged with things, nowadays, for example – but I already set my preferred language in OpenOffice to English (UK). Shouldn’t it assume my paragraph language is English (UK) too?
Or is it that I’m not indenting at the start? Is that English (US)?
